NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under S14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order was made due to the likelihood of danger to the public.
The effect of the Order is to continue the provisions of the Monmouthshire County Council Temporary Traffic Prohibition Notice that came into effect on 30th January 2026 which temporarily closed Public Footpath 24, Trellech United as shown on the order plan.
The Order will come into force on the 11th March 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum of 6 months. Or until the foopath is made safe, whichever is the earlier. If necessary a request to the Welsh Ministers may be made to extend the closure.
By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
