The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent is responsible for setting the amount of money residents pay towards policing through their council tax. Almost 40 per cent of Gwent Police’s overall budget of £181 million comes from local council tax payers. In order to make this decision he needs your input via the Police and Crime Commissioner survey (opens in a new tab or window). The survey closes on 7th January 2024 and a hard copy can be obtained from commisioner@gwent.police.uk or calling 01633 642200.
